The Lab Companion
A Certificate of Analysis proves what is — and is not — in your supplement. Bloodwork tells you what your body is asking for. The Lab Companion reads both, then explains them in plain language and points to the chemical forms that absorb best. It is education, not a diagnosis — always review results with your provider.
What a Certificate of Analysis Shows
The panels an independent lab tests — and what a good result looks like. See our Standard page for how EHE tests.
Confirms the ingredient in the bottle is actually what the label says — verified by methods like HPLC, FTIR, or microscopy.
Measures how much of the active compound is present, confirming the dose on the label is real (label-claim verification).
Tests for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury, which can accumulate in botanical and marine ingredients.
Screens for total plate count, yeast, mold, and pathogens such as E. coli and Salmonella.
Checks for agricultural pesticide residues and any solvents left over from extraction.
Confirms whether common allergens (gluten, soy, dairy, nuts) are present or controlled in manufacturing.
The Lab Companion provides general nutrition education only. It does not diagnose, interpret your results, or replace your healthcare provider. Markers such as HbA1c, thyroid (TSH), and lipids are clinical — only your provider should interpret them.
This is general wellness education, not medical advice. Please consult your healthcare provider before starting any supplement — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
